Another “silent disease” is Hypertension, which is also found in many cases along with diabetes.

Most Type II diabetics have had the disease for 10 years before it is diagnosed. It usually takes that long before the disease causes problems that require you to go to the doctor. Because you don’t have much diabetes information. Many people think if you’re overweight you’re going to develop none-insulin dependent diabetes, commonly known as Type II diabetes. They sometimes think this comes from eating too much sugar or sweets. Thus causing you to become overweight. As far as being overweight does not mean that you will for sure develop the disease. It is only a risk factor for it. Eating too much sugar or sweets in and by itself is not going to cause this disease. You can become overweight from other types of food. Any diet that has high caloric value, whether it comes from sugar or from fat can produce increased weight, thereby setting you up for the possibility of developing Type II diabetes.
